What to eat in the evening: foods that normalise sleep
The main meal that affects sound sleep is the evening meal.
1. Dairy products contain protein and calcium – they are responsible for sound sleep throughout the night. Cottage cheese, Greek yoghurt, or a glass of low-fat milk are excellent sleeping pills.
2.A small amount of nuts will help to resolve sleep problems. Pistachios contain B vitamins, magnesium and protein, which are responsible for good rest throughout the night.
3. Dried cherries promote the production of melatonin, a hormone responsible for regulating circadian rhythms. A cup of cherries before bed will be the key to a good night’s sleep and a vigorous wake-up.
4.Chamomile tea calms nerves that have been shaken during the day, normalises the body’s water balance and soothes stomach pains. It is good to eat a grain cracker, bran biscuits or a piece of hard cheese with this tea. Protein and carbohydrates help you fall asleep faster.
